World Book Day Art Challenges

Zero-Waste Art Challenge

We usually love seeing all your creative costume ideas on World Book Day, but because getting to the shops is trickier than usual this year and a lot of budgets are extra tight, so this year we're doing something different.

We want to see you recreate a scene or character from a book using items you already have at home. For example, this gif shows you how to create The Gruffalo using a hoodie, four pairs of socks, some forks and a phone charging cable!

Take a picture of your finished artwork and send it to library@stechford.bham.sch.uk for a chance to win a prize!

Book Token Competition

National Book Tokens are gift cards that you can spend on books. New designs are released every year, often created by children like you!

If you would like your artwork to be on next year's National Book Tokens, then you need to print out the entry form below, decorate it and hand it in at school so that it can be entered into the national competition!

Make sure your artwork is bright, colourful and cheery. It should communicate the importance of books, stories and reading.

If you do not have a printer at home, you can collect an entry form when school reopens.

Your entries need to be handed into Ms Lovell by the 29th of March 2021.
