World Book Day
World Book Day is on the 3rd of March 2022. Pupils are encouraged to come to school on that day dressed as a character from a children's book.
Below are some ideas for costumes which can be made from items you already have at home.
Claude by Alex T Smith

To dress as Claude you will need:
Red beret
Red top and pale trousers
Black cardboard ears on a headband.
(If you already have a Snoopy mask, you could use that, since he and Claude are the same type of dog.)

To dress as Bilbo Baggins you will need:
Plain shirt and trousers
Waistcoat
Gold ring on a necklace
Hairy feet drawn on paper and stuck on top of your shoes
The BFG by Roald Dahl


To dress as the BFG you will need:
Big cardboard ears
A trumpet made of kitchen roll and carboard
An empty jam jar labelled 'Dreams'
To dress as Sophie you will need:
A nightdress
A pair of glasses

To dress as Paddington Bear you will need:
A blue dufflecoat
A floppy hat
A label saying 'Please look after this bear'

A white blouse

To dress as the Cat In The Hat you will need:
A hat made of cardboard and a paper plate

A red bow-tie
Eyeliner to draw whiskers

To dress as Harry you will need:
Blue jeans
A yellow t-shirt
A plastic bucket

A long black dress (a leftover witch costume from Halloween would be perfect.)

Black Panther style mask (you can draw or print the mask on cardboard or you can add ears to a black beanie hat for a more 3D look)
